Dr. Vanini has graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pavia in 1980, and has been dealing with aesthetic dentistry for twenty-five years, with a particular interest for the conservative restoration of anterior teeth and for the research in the field of composite material. He was a teacher and instructor of Conservative Dentistry at the Specialisation School of the Istituto San Paolo, Università degli studi, Milan, in 1986-1987. He is an active member of the Italian Society for Conservative Dentistry and of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics. He is teacher in several schools and University master in Italy and abroad. He is teacher of Aesthetic Dentistry at the University of Rome La Sapienza and visiting Professor of Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry at the University La Mediterranee of Marseille. He develops researches on composite materials in Italy and in Germany. He is the author of several publications, co-author with Dr. Fabio Toffenetti of the manual “Nuovi Concetti Estetici nell’uso dei materiali compositi” edited by “Amici di Brugg” in 1995, co-author with Dr. Massimo Fuzzi and Roberto Spreafico of the manual “Il restauro conservativo dei denti posteriori 2” edited by “Amici di Brugg” in 2000 and author together with Prof. Francesco Mangani and Dr. Olga Klimoskaia of the two-volume book “Il restauro conservativo dei denti anteriori “ edited by Acme Viterbo in 2003, available also in the English version “The Conservative Restoration of Anterior Teeth” 2005. He lectures in international congresses and holds private courses on aesthetic dentistry at the Centro Corsi Aggiornamenti a San Fedele Intelvi (Como), where he works free-lance devoting himself especially to aesthetic dentistry and neuromuscular dentistry
