Shake Stone and new LiSi sinterized blocks

A clinical case based on testing a innovative type of stone (Shake Stone) in combination with new LiSi sinterized blocks.

Clinical Steps

Patient with pain on the two last molars and old restorations.

After endodontic treatment of first molar.

After endodontic treatement of the second  molar. It is evident the crack syndrome that affected the tooth.

After root canal space preparation.

After luting fibre posts.

After the build up of the two molars,  the first without posts and the second with posts, and before the preparation of onlays.

Preparation was performed under rubber dam.

Preparation of the molars.

Preparation of the vital premolar.

Hybridization of dentin with an Universal bonding system (G-Praemio Bond) of vital dentin.

The layer of Universal bonding was covered by a thin layer of flowable resin composite (Gaenial Universal Flow).

Impression with polixiloxane material (Ex’llence).

The impression was pured with Shake Stone (experimental material). The gypsum, that is shaked by hands for 30 seconds, can set in five minutes.

The cast. The cast is scanned by an ios device (AAdva ios).

The restorations were made using the experimental LiSi bloks (GC): the sinterized blocks were milled by a Sirona milling machine.
