Immediate Post-Extractive Implants
IMMEDIATE POST-EXTRACTIVE IMPLANTS
we have the pleasure to present you a clinical case of immediate-loaded post-extractive implants by Dr. Tiziano Testori.
Teeth 1.1-2.1, in healthy periodontal conditions, have to be extracted because of root fracture on tooth 1.1 and external root resorption on tooth 2.1 (as showed in the intra-oral x-ray).
Fig 1 – The cone beam x-ray shows the external root resorption and the vertical root fracture.
Fig 2 – Two immediate-loaded post-extractive implants are placed. The 2 mm buccal gap is filled with deproteinized bovine bone graft. The emergency profile of the temporary crowns is under-contoured in order to achieve a better soft tissue contouring.
Fig 3 – Case finalization, clinics. The interradicular bone preservation enhances soft tissue contouring; the zirconia abutments and the thick soft tissue biotype allow the esthetic integration of the prosthetic structures.
Fig 4 – Case finalization, imaging. The platform switching limits bone resorption around the prosthetic platform. The Cbct shows the buccal bone manteinance over the time, biologic requirement to achieve a good esthetic result.
